Whether you have students just starting out in elementary school, ready to graduate or just have a willingness to make a difference in our schools, we encourage you to consider volunteering.
Your interest to helping our students succeed and working together to create a positive impact on their educational journey is an integral part of the educational setting. Parents/guardians and volunteers involved in the education of our students is an important part of our Strategic Plan here at Sauk Rapids-Rice Schools this year.
Becoming a Volunteer at Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools
The safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance and a top priority of the school district's.
Volunteers are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to school policies and guidelines at all times.
To further ensure the safety of our student's, we require background checks for all volunteers.
Below are directions on how to complete the background check process. Printable Instructions
- When asked what position you are applying for, enter “Volunteer”
- You will need a credit/debit card to pay for the background check online*
- The cost of the background check is $14.00
- Volunteer Background Checks are valid for 3 years from the date completed
*If you do not have access to a smartphone, tablet, computer or the internet, you may complete the background check in the main office at any of our schools or call Human Resources at 320-258-1808 for alternative options.
Once completed, those with a valid and acceptable background check will be eligible for school volunteer opportunities and we will contact you as opportunities become available.
Participation in the School Volunteer Program is based on specific requests or needs identified by school staff, teachers, or students themselves.
