Safety Zone Information

• 🚨 PLEASANTVIEW SAFETY ZONE INFORMATION🚨

  Pleasantview families, our first day in the Safety Zone did not go as well as we hoped. With 500+ vehicles using the Safety Zone and surrounding streets, we need everyone’s help to make dismissal safe and efficient.

  🚌 FIRST — PLEASE CONSIDER RIDING THE BUS!
  Our Safety Zone was not designed for this volume of vehicles. If your child can become a bus rider, please visit the Transportation section of our website to learn more. Every additional bus rider makes a difference!

  🚗 TWO IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR PARENT PICKUP:

  1️⃣ FOLLOW YOUR PICKUP TIMES BELOW -  DO NOT COME AND WAIT IN THE SAFETY ZONE PRIOR TO THE TIMES BELOW

• Grades K–2: Arrive in the Safety Zone between 1:45–2:00 PM
• Grades 3–5: Arrive in the Safety Zone between 2:10–2:25 PM
• Have children in both K–2 and 3–5? Please use the later 2:10–2:25 PM window.

• 👉 If you drive to school, you are not a walker. Please follow your assigned time and get in line with everyone else.

  2️⃣ Parent Pick-up - RIGHT TURN IN — RIGHT TURN OUT 🚦

  We are partnering with the Sauk Rapids Police Department to help control traffic.

  ✅ Enter Pleasantview from 6th Avenue traveling southbound and turn RIGHT into the Safety Zone.  NO LEFT TURN into Pleasantview from 6th Avenue INTO THE SCHOOL. This will be blocked by police. ✅ When leaving Pleasantview, turn RIGHT onto 6th Avenue.

  Pleasantview will be RIGHT-TURN ONLY for both entering and exiting.

  Thank you to the Sauk Rapids Police Department and our Superintendent Bergstrom for helping us keep our students safe, and thank you to the many families who are patiently following the procedures already.

  Please remember: Safety is more important than what you did last year. No one should try to beat the system or find a way around the procedures.
